Angie Peters’ interest in understanding individual needs and her passion for empowering others to live their best lives attracted her to the role of support worker. Angie joined Green Light in August 2023 and is now part of the Pendragon team who support one person with learning disabilities and autism. Angie brings valuable personal and professional experience to her Support Worker role, having worked in care homes and supported family members with autism.
Q: Where are you from, and where do you live now?
A: I’m originally from Speke, Liverpool, but I moved to Newquay, Cornwall, last August.
Q: How did you hear about Green Light?
A: I came across Green Light on Indeed.
Q: Why did you decide to work for Green Light?
A: It looked like a great company to work for! The reviews were positive, and it truly is one of the best companies I have ever worked for.
Q: What is your previous experience with autism or learning disabilities?
A: My brother and daughter both have autism, so I have personal experience. Professionally, I’ve worked in Elderly Mentally Infirm care settings before.
Q: Do you have any special skills, hobbies, or interests?
A: I enjoy reading—it’s my go-to hobby.
Q: When you’re not working, what are you most likely to be doing?
A: You’ll probably find me exploring the beautiful scenery of Cornwall or spending quality time with my family.
Q: What’s on your bucket list?
A: I’d love to travel around Greece and go on a cruise someday—even though I’m scared of water!
Q: Who is your hero or heroine, and why?
A: My nan is my hero. She was a hardworking lady who raised five children and dedicated her life to helping others through charity work. She’s always there for anyone who needs her and has taught me so much.
