Hannah Musto joined Green Light in 2011 after working as a support worker in a residential school for children with autism and challenging behaviour.  Since then, Hannah has progressed with the company, leading a number of person-centred transitions for individuals with autism and learning disabilities, using her experience to coach and support team members working with her.  Naturally caring, and upbeat, even in the face of adversity, Hannah is a respected member of Green Light’s management team.

Q: Where are you from and where do you live now?

A: I was born in Cheltenham, but now live in Nanpean.

Q: How did you hear about Green Light ?

A: Social media

Q: Why did you decide to work for Green Light ?

A: I loved how Green Light prided themselves in supporting individuals to live within the community.  It is so important to me that we make other’s lives enriched and full of laughter with great people around them. Sounds corny but I love making a difference in someone’s life. Life can be a tricky place, so having people around, someone who is upbeat, up for a challenge is what it’s all about!

Q: What is your previous experience of autism or learning disabilities?

A: Prior to working with adults I had worked for a residential children’s home for young boys between the ages of 7-18. The school was a specialist school for children with autism and emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Q: Do you have any special skills/hobbies or interests?

A: Karaoke! I absolutely love singing (not very well) Makes me feel happy inside. I love booking places to stay in and around Cornwall and visiting places like Boscastle. Boscastle is one of my favourite places in the world.

Q: When not working what are you most likely to be doing?

A: Spending time with my partner and my poocho Stinko!  Lola is her real name but Stinko fits her well.  We have mini-adventures together mostly filled with laughs and love.

Q: What do you have on your bucket list?

A: I have always wanted to go to Goa

Q: Who is your hero or heroine & why?

A: My dad is my hero. He has served in the army since he was a teenager and only recently left this year. My dad has a strong work ethic and pushed me in the right direction. I am his number one fan! His heart is huge and makes you feel safe. He also has a great sense of humour!

Q: What three words sum up your personality?

A: Funny, dedicated, loud!
