Heather joined Green Light in 2019 from the Care Quality Commission, where Heather specialised in the inspection and regulation of autism and learning disability services. With a keen interest in the development of systems that support services to achieve good outcomes for the people they serve, Heather now leads Green Light’s quality assurance strategy.
Q: Where are you from and where do you live now?
A: Belfast. Currently live in Carbis Bay, St. Ives.
Q: How did you hear about Green Light ?
A: From my previous role as a CQC inspector.
Q: Why did you decide to work for Green Light ?
A: They asked me!
Q: What is your previous experience of autism or learning disabilities?
A: Autism and LD was my area of special interest within regulatory inspection.
Q: Do you have any special skills/hobbies or interests?
A: I am a Counsellor working with individuals who have experienced trauma. I am a qualified Reflexologist and Reiki Master.
Q: When not working what are you most likely to be doing?
A: Spending time with my family.
Q: What do you have on your bucket list?
A: Safari, lots of travel.
Q: Who is your hero or heroine & why?
A: My mum. She was a wonderful role model; strong, independent, hardworking and loving.
