Meet the Team – Tracy McCallum

Tracy McCallum joined Green Light in November 2021 from another Cornish care provider supporting adults with autism.  After completing Green Light’s induction training, Tracy joined the team at Huthnance Park, a home located between Hayle and Helston in the West of Cornwall.  The Huthnance team,  led by experienced registered manager Helen Kendall, currently support three people from the home, each person having their own self-contained accommodation.  The team are currently supporting people as major refurbishments takes place and are working towards being able to offer another individual a new package of accommodation and support from the home as works complete.  A behaviour analyst Chloe Brindley works closely with the team, providing practical guidance on how to help people gradually build up the skills they need for a good quality of life. 


Q: Where are you from and where do you live now?

A: I’m from Falmouth and live in Helston

Q: How did you hear about Green Light ?

A: From Green Light’s Facebook page

Q: Why did you decide to work for Green Light ?

A: I saw excellent reviews about staff, management and the company as a whole

Q: What is your previous experience of autism or learning disabilities?

A: I have worked with adults with learning disabilities and autism for nearly 6 years in total now.  I also have adult twins with Asperger Syndrome.

Q: Do you have any special skills/hobbies or interests?

A: I enjoy yoga, swimming and reading and word searches!

Q: When not working what are you most likely to be doing?

A: Housework or catching up with family or walking the dog, doing yoga, reading or watching TV.

Q: What do you have on your bucket list?

A: A river cruise and getting a spaniel puppy or two!

Q: Who is your hero or heroine & why?

A: My Aunty.  She’s not just my Aunty, but a very dear friend.  She has always been there for me and we have had so much fun together over the years. 

Q: What three words sum up your personality?

A: Fun, kind and caring
