The Stables consists of two semi-detached, three-bedroom homes with parking and private gardens on a small cul-de-sac on the edge of Camborne, West Cornwall. The homes, built in 2021, are now registered with the Care Quality Commission for up to two people with learning disabilities, aged between 18 & 65.
The Stables residential location suits individuals who wish to be at the heart of their community. It is level walking distance to the town centre, shops, cafés, pubs, restaurants and supermarkets and within easy reach of parks and other leisure amenities. The bus and train station with direct links to East to Paddington and West to Penzance are a short walk away. Newquay airport is 30 minutes drive from the Stables. There are two doctors surgeries on the doorstep. There are two colleges locally, offering a range of courses for adults with learning disabilities.
The Stables builds on the success and popularity of Green Light's earlier ‘clustered single occupancy’ services which offered single-occupancy living with individualised support from a dedicated team under the leadership of the Registered Manager. This arrangements allows a network of friendly support to form between neighbours and team members; facilitating relationship-building for individuals who might otherwise be at risk of becoming socially isolated, or withdrawn.
